Ambassador Battle welcomed about 60 guests to the Chief of Mission Residence on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, to unveil several distinctive works from the Art in Embassies Program. After welcoming guests and providing some background on the Art in Embassies program and the works themselves, which are by artists from the United States, Ghana, and Mali. He said he selected the pieces because they represent the broad diversity of the American people and its culture. Guests included several young Tanzanian artists, members of the diplomatic community, local gallery owners, teachers, and representatives of several organizations that promote art and culture in Dar es Salaam.
