Event: Protests are possible across Tanzania on Thursday, April 26th (Union Day). Tanzanian officials have stated that any protestors will face serious consequences. During past demonstrations, Tanzanian police have employed tear gas and live ammunition.
The U.S. government has restricted the movement of Peace Corps volunteers throughout Tanzania. Other official Americans have no current restrictions.
