Going to an American College this Year?

This center belongs to the EducationUSA network of educational advising centers affiliated with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. EducationUSA advisers strive to provide accurate, comprehensive, current, and unbiased information on educational opportunities in the United States. We do not endorse or rank any college or university, nor do we endorse services provided by any company or organization in areas of test preparation, admissions, placement, language training, or visa procurement. U.S. Embassy Dar es Salaam never charges for educational advising services, nor do we accept money from, or on behalf of, students.

EducationUSA services are available to both non-members and members by appointment. These include individual one-on-one sessions, phone, e-mail and group advising. We organize workshops on various topics pertinent to US higher education.

To schedule an appointment or to attend a general session please contact the EducationUSA adviser at: Eadar@state.gov . If you are requesting an appointment, please be sure to include all the information that applies to you:

  • Education level
  • O-level results
  • A-level results
  • current G.P.A
  • detailed message describing your request.

Membership offers extensive advising and extended access to all educational advising resources, including the library, test preparation materials and workshops. Membership is available to recent (within one year) NECTA and A-level graduates with at least a Division 1 with 7 points and University students with at least 4.00/ 5.00 G.P.A. or a comparable upper second class G.P.A.

Non-members are welcome to use the services of the EducationUSA on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sunday: Closed

Monday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM
