Recruiting Citizen Liaison Volunteers
2 MINUTE READ
February 24, 2020

Calling American Citizens Living in Tanzania:

U.S. Embassy Dar es Salaam is recruiting Citizen Liaison Volunteers (CLVs) to participate in the American Liaison Network.  Formerly known as the “Consular Warden Program,” the American Liaison Network is a key component of the U.S. Embassy’s efforts to ensure the safety and security of U.S. citizens in Tanzania.

U.S. Embassies around the world rely heavily on these networks to share information with and render aid to U.S. citizens in need. As a CLV, you would have an important role in helping us keep the U.S. citizen community in Tanzania informed and, in extraordinary circumstances, helping us deliver emergency services to U.S. citizens in need.  This unpaid volunteer program emphasizes two-way communication during both emergencies and non-crisis periods.

We are looking to recruit American Citizens to serve as Citizen Liaison Volunteers from all locations in Tanzania.  Please contact drsacs@state.gov if you are an American Citizen and are interested in becoming a Citizen Liaison Volunteer or learning more about the requirements of the program.  Once you notify us of your interest, we’ll get back to you with more information and further instructions.
